The New Horizons Association is a non-governmental organisation whose goal is to disseminate top-quality film art. Since the very beginning of our activity in 2003, we have launched a number of projects promoting contemporary cinematography, such as: The New Horizons International Film Festival; the American Film Festival focused on independent cinema from the US; the New Horizons cinema; the New Horizons VOD streaming platform; and a series of projects under the banner of Young Horizons.
Young Horizons is one of the key branches of the New Horizons Association. It is responsible for distributing and supporting high-quality films and series for young audiences. The Young Horizons brand includes several complementary areas: theatrical distribution (Young Horizons Distribution) and online distribution (Young Horizons VOD); film education for preschools and schools (Young Horizons Education); development and promotion of film and series in Poland and across the world (Young Horizons Industry); and the peak event of the year – Young Horizons International Film Festival.
The Young Horizons Festival
The best live-action films, animations, and documentaries in the world; creativity-boosting workshops; inspiring meetings with filmmakers (including young actors); talks about films; and great fun! That’s what makes the Young Horizons International Film Festival. Each year, in September and October, you are invited to visit the colourful world of cinema. No matter if you are a child, a teen, or an accompanying adult, you will surely find something interesting for yourself. Together, we will experience the first screenings, grow up, and set sail to go beyond the horizon.
The Young Horizons International Film Festival takes place in Warsaw, Wrocław, and nearly 20 other towns and cities in Poland. Since 2020, it has also been made available online. We make sure to present age-appropriate quality films of high artistic, thematic, and production value. The Young Horizons Festival is the continuation of Kids Kino IFF.

The industry part of the Young Horizons International Film Festival is a series of programmes and projects aimed at supporting and promoting film and series development for young audiences.

Young Horizons Distribution
We have more than 10 years of experience in introducing high-quality films for young viewers to cinemas. We distribute live-action films and animations in cooperation with Polish and foreign animation studios, producers, and publishers. Previously, the name of the distribution branch was Kids Kino Present. However, as we keep developing, the time for change has come. Now, Young Horizons Distribution will show even more colours of the cinema and accompany young people even longer in their exploration of the fascinating world of film.
Gripping top-quality films for young viewers – watch them at arthouse and multiplex cinemas across Poland, all year long. Set out on a film journey with your favourite book characters. Stay up to date with global premieres and see the most interesting films and the most compelling stories of outstanding aesthetic value and with in-depth meanings. Use them to play with the youngest kids and to discuss important subjects with teenagers.
New Horizons of Film Education
The New Horizons of Film Education is a programme addressed and adjusted to the needs of preschool, primary school, and secondary school students. These meetings with films are organised at cinemas across Poland. You can also join the programme online. Educators get access to teaching resources, such as worksheets, class scenarios, and psychological analyses.
The New Horizons of Film Education programme has been organised continuously for 18 years. In the school year 2024/2025, it will adopt a new name and character: Young Horizons Education.
New Horizons VOD
NH VOD offers more than 100 films for young viewers, including the best international productions presented at Young Horizons IFF and adaptations of best-selling books.
The film catalogue available on the platform is carefully tailored to the needs of specific age groups: this unique solution can be found only in our online streaming service. The film library is created to respond to the needs and cognitive abilities of young viewers at a particular age. So, films addressed to four-year-olds will not overwhelm them with dynamic scenes or extended and multi-layered plots, while ten-year-olds do not have to watch content for the smallest kids. Every title guarantees entertainment for all the family members and stimulates interesting and important conversations.
